In Honor Of The Saints Who Have Gone Before
In loving memory of Pop-Pop (George A. Welsh).
Waiting… but content? (Part 2)
Are you in a waiting season? In Psalm 13 David is asking to be saved from his enemies. But when I read through the psalms, I think of the enemies in my own life, and for me they are spiritual.
Waiting… but content? (Part 1)
Sometimes the waiting is hard because of the season you are placed in; your attitude in the midst determines how you experience all of it.
He sings!
Did you know that God sings over you? The way I’ve heard Him, it’s more soft and intimate.
What is contentment? (Part 2)
God is the only unchanging, faithful, and perfect foundation on which to build your hopes and dreams—to build your life upon. If you don’t believe me, look at the track record of the things you have placed your hope in.
What is contentment? (Part 1)
God has been really speaking to me about contentment and surrender lately—for many different reasons.
Why is time with God is important?
How can you have the kind of relationship scripture calls us to have with God—or any kind of relationship—if you don’t know or spend time with the person?
What’s distracting you?
What motivates you to wake up and start your day? Do you have healthy routines or habits in your life? Or do you make it up as you go along? Where does God fit in? Do you get in bed at the end of the night to sleep and realize you forgot about Him?
Are you in a desert?
Have you ever felt dry spiritually? It feels like you are so numb, yet so angry or depressed at the same time.
Prayers for the King
Psalm 72 reminds me how rarely I pray for this country or its leaders; recently I have struggled to pray for things outside of my own little world, and this Psalm was a good reminder of how to change that.

2 Corinthians 1 reveals important truths we can hold onto about who God is and what He is doing.
Truths to hold on to (Part 7)
