DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL · DTS

Make room for what God wants to do.

The Discipleship Training School—known as DTS—is Youth With A Mission’s foundational training program.

It isn’t only a classroom experience or simply a mission trip. It is an intentional season of biblical teaching, worship, mentorship, service, and community living. You will grow in your understanding of God’s character, discover more of your identity, and learn to put your faith into action.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. You only need a heart that is ready to listen, learn, and obey.

What you need to know.

No. DTS is for anyone who wants to know God more deeply and learn to live with faith and purpose. Some graduates continue into full-time missions, while others apply what they have learned within their families, churches, workplaces, or professions.

No ministry experience is required. What matters most is your willingness to learn, live in community, and participate fully in both phases of the school.

No. The training and outreach phases make up one complete school. To complete the DTS and receive the corresponding University of the Nations credits, students must participate in both phases.

Specific details depend on each school. Fees normally cover teaching, housing, and meals during the training phase. Outreach expenses are generally calculated separately according to the destination. Our team will confirm exactly what is included.

DTS is only the beginning. After completing the school, you are invited to continue growing and serving through YWAM River City’s Year of Missions.

This next step gives you the opportunity to put your training into practice, gain hands-on ministry experience, grow through continued mentorship, and explore what a life of long-term mission could look like for you.
