Is God hearing your prayers?

Have you ever prayed and felt like there were no results, or it seemed your prayers had no effect?

I would like to encourage you today that your prayers do have results!

Here in YWAM Lynchburg, we have had many answered prayers this year; God keeps revealing more to us. For example, one prayer was to have enough matching plates, silverware, and cups to make our Tuesday night Bible Study dinners with our collage students look nice and not so mismatched.  These things came to us when we had our Love Feast in the spring. We were hosting around 70 people and knew we really did not have enough of anything… even tables!  However, God provided everything we needed. Everything!  We even had too much silverware. Each table was different and unique, but we set all of them. It was beautiful. In the end our much smaller table for Bible Study was neatly matching, just like we had prayed!

Another really cool answer to prayer was our sheets. Hospitality is a value of ours, yet our sheets were mismatched. We had a guest that came and donated queen sets and a couple smaller ones to us! Then our campus in Richmond received many new sets of sheets from a group that was staying there; God blessed both of our campuses!

One time we prayed for money for our team to go to Türkiye and He provided an over abundance, allowing us to bless people with the extra!  So many prayers for our community and colleges here in Lynchburg have been answered. In fact, we received an answer this morning through a conversation with one of our neighbors about how God is working in one of the colleges.

Maybe some of these seem small and unimportant, but God cares about those too. Thank you God for everything You have been doing. We praise you God!

Believe me, I am not in any way trying to rub this in your face. My hope is to encourage you to keep praying and not give up until His answer comes. Keep praying, even if the answer comes as “no”; then you well know He has better plans and better prayers He wants you to pray. You can learn in the waiting and maybe He will even change your heart to make it look more like His.

In the comments please share with us how God has been answering your prayers. Have a good week.
