Retreats

“YWAM RIVER CITY is a place where young leaders encounter God, mature in community and go to the nations.”

Our retreats are an opportunity to unplug from technology and the stresses of life, and plug into God in a beautiful location, supported by a committed team.  Our value of “Practice hospitality” means you will be welcomed to our amazing, wooded 16 acre property minutes from downtown Richmond with love and the guidance you need to personally encounter God.  Whether you stay for a brief time or multiple days, our team is ready to provide resources, prayer, and pastoral care as you seek to grow closer to God.  Whether by yourself, on one of our organized retreats, or a group-led outing, you will enjoy the quiet scenic environment, unique touches like gardens and goats, and access to opportunities for prayer and worship.

KEY YWAM VALUES

While all 18 YWAM Foundation Values shape our programs, these are key:

  • #1 Know God
  • #3 Hear God’s voice
  • #4 Practice worship & intercessory prayer
  • #14 Value individuals
  • #16 Practice dependence on God
  • #17 Practice hospitality

WHAT TO KNOW

What ages does this include?
There are opportunities for all ages to engage in our Retreats, though Personal Retreats would not be a good fit for minors without a guardian present. Throughout the year Organized Retreats will pinpoint a range of ages, and Group Retreats will be at the discretion of group leaders.

What does lodging look like?
Depending on the time of year and current programs, lodging can range from shared rooms to individual rooms.  More details of availability and rates can be found in the Retreat details.

How much do retreats cost?
Our retreats range from free to reasonably priced, based on several factors, such as staffing, materials, and length.  More details can be found in the specific retreat details.
