Family
Jesse Carmichael grew up in Hampton, Virginia. He earned college degrees in Outdoor Education and Environmental Studies.
Madeline Carmichael is from Everett, Washington. She is a licensed cosmetologist and passionate about ministering to young women through beauty.
Jesse and Madeline married in 2013 and have two daughters. Their family loves serving the Lord in Richmond and around the world.Both completed their Discipleship Training School in Richmond, Virginia in 2012, which shaped their education and family journey.

Ministry
Jesse began volunteering with the ropes course and the Discipleship Training School in 2012 and has served in Richmond ever since.
He led the Ropes Course ministry, then the Local Ministries department on the Leadership Council until 2020. From 2020–2025, he served as Richmond Campus Leader. Currently, Jesse is Programs Director and leads “Digital Detox” retreats. His gift in teaching and outdoor education helps people learn naturally and discover digital independence.
Madeline served with the ropes course and local ministries, then transitioned to kitchen manager and the media team. She now disciples young women through beauty, hair, and photography, while raising their daughters. Both Jesse and Madeline serve with the Worship team, supporting ministry and equipping others for the Great Commission.
